Eldon James Cubitt was born at home on the outskirts of Stayner at 6934 Hwy 26 to his late parents, Earl and Georgina Cubitt, on July 31, 1944. He lived all his life in that home until moving into town in August 2007. In his lifetime he moved 2.3km.
