The election is coming, here's how to get your name on the voters' list

When the time comes to vote for the next council, will you be on the list?

The municipal election takes place Oct. 22 this year. All voting will take place online or by telephone. Eligible voters will receive instructions and a unique pin number via mail, which can be used to submit a vote online or by telephone.

There are a couple of ways to make sure you’re on the voters’ list and your contact information and school board choice are correct.

First, you can check the list and register online here. You can also register and update your information for the voters’ list in person at the town hall during regular business hours (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Collingwood Farmers’ Market on Oct. 6 or at the Voter Help Centre, which will be located at the Collingwood Public Library during the following dates and times:

Friday, Oct. 12, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Monday, Oct. 15 to Friday, Oct. 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Sunday, Oct. 21, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Monday, Oct. 22 (election day), from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
