NEWS RELEASE
TOWN OF COLLINGWOOD
***********************
This fall, Collingwood voters will cast their ballot using the internet or telephone for the first time.

These methods of voting are quick, easy, secure and completely anonymous. They provide flexibility and convenience allowing electors to vote anytime, anywhere, and better-enabling electors to exercise their right to vote. Results are available sooner than the previous vote by mail voting system, with complete accuracy. Voting will open at 10 a.m. on Oct. 12 and run until 8 p.m. on Oct. 22, 2018.

If you would like to learn more about how these voting methods work or see a demonstration, be sure to come to an upcoming public information session:

Friday, Aug. 31 at 1 p.m.
Town of Collingwood
Collingwood Public Library, 3rd Floor
55 Ste. Marie St., Collingwood, Ont.

Can't make it out to this session?

If you have a group of people, or you belong to an organization, and you would like to host a session, you can contact Town of Collingwood election staff to arrange a demonstration and discussion about this method of casting a ballot.

An additional information session is being hosted at the Town of the Blue Mountains on Tuesday, Aug. 28 at 7 p.m. in Town Hall, Council Chambers, located at 32 Mill St., Thornbury, Ont.
