With the fans at the Eddie Bush Memorial Arena on the edge of their seats, Blues assistant captain Mark McIntosh scored the game winner at 13:24 of the second overtime period.

The Collingwood Blues took Game 1 in the best of 7 opening round series against the Brantford 99ers, with a score of 2-1. Jack Rimmer scored the other Blues goal on the powerplay with 4:38 left in the 1st period.

Exhausted fans celebrated the victory and cheered on the 3 stars of the game: 3rd Star: Noah Pak, 2nd Star: Dylan Grover (Brantford) and 1st Star: Mark McIntosh. Game 2 is on the road in Brantford on Sunday, and Game 3 is Tuesday night in Collingwood.
