Are you looking for something to do in the Collingwood area this weekend?

Here are five events to attend this weekend in and around Collingwood.

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

Sept. 30 marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, with events happening across Collingwood to commemorate the occasion. From Sept. 19 to Oct. 2, there is a 94 Calls to Action StoryWalk on the Train Trail beginning at the Collingwood Museum, as well as a doorway installation on the museum grounds. The town will also be having a flag raising on Sept. 29 at 4 p.m., and will light the clock tower orange from Sept. 29 to Oct. 2.

Autumn Leaves Studio Tour

Every fall the artists of the Autumn Leaves Studio Tour invite the public into their homes and studios. From Sept. 29 to Oct. 1, explore the diversity of seasoned artists and the artworks of a number of guest artists. The range of mediums include pottery and ceramics, photography, watercolours, acrylics and oils, fiber art, wood, and metal.

Kids Adventure Games

‘The Coolest Kids Adventure Race in The World’ is coming Blue Mountain Resort this weekend. It's a multi-discipline obstacle adventure race for kids ages 6 to 14. In teams of two, participants compete together on bikes, in water and on foot through a 2.5-4 mile course featuring up to 15 man-made and natural obstacles.

Bruce Trail Day

This annual free event runs Oct. 1 and celebrates the efforts of the Bruce Trail Conservancy to ensure the preservation of the trail. Representatives from the BTC and local Blue Mountain Club will be on hand to answer any questions.

CIBC Run for the Cure

Runners from across Collingwood, Town of the Blue Mountains, Wasaga Beach, Thornbury, Creemore and Midland will be congregating at Blue Mountain Village on Oct. 1 for the South Georgian Bay leg of the CIBC Run for the Cure.
