Two new cases of COVID-19 reported in the Blue Mountains today

The Grey Bruce Health Unit (GBHU) is reporting five new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours.

The five new cases are located in the Blue Mountains (2), Owen Sound (2) and Saugeen Shores.  

According to the health unit, there are 46 active cases in the region and another 115 active high-risk contacts. 

Active cases in Grey County are located in: Owen Sound (28), Southgate (1), The Blue Mountains (10), Hanover (1), and Meaford (2). 

GBHU is also currently working with Kelso Villa Retirement Home and Queen of Hearts Nursery School (located in Owen Sound) to address COVID-19 outbreaks.

There are currently five individuals in hospital in Grey-Bruce with COVID-19. 

To date, the health unit has reported 2,198 cases in Grey-Bruce with 2,128 recoveries and 12 deaths. 

As of today's situation update, approximately 64.7 per cent of the total population of Grey-Bruce (including children) have been vaccinated with two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.
