Grey Bruce Health reports three new COVID-19 cases in Bruce County

The Grey Bruce Health Unit is reporting 77 lab-confirmed cases with 35 recovered.

The Grey Bruce Health Unit (GBHU) is reporting another three positive cases in the region in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of positive lab-confirmed cases to 77.

The three new cases are located in Saugeen Shores, Arran Elderslie and Brockton.

The April 27 situation report also shows that two of the three new cases are healthcare workers in Grey Bruce. Area healthcare workers account for 23 or the 77 cases to date.

The updated situation report also outlines a new outbreak in one of the region's long-term care homes - Brucelea Haven in Walkerton. Maple View nursing home in Owen Sound and Sepoy Manor retirement home in Lucknow have both previously reported being in a state of outbreak due to COVID-19.

GBHU confirms that 35 of the 77 cases have fully recovered from the virus, and currently no one is being hospitalized due to COVID-19.

Confirm cases in Grey County include - Owen Sound (44); West Grey (5); Southgate (5); Grey Highlands (3); Georgian Bluffs (1); Meaford (1); Blue Mountains (1). Bruce County currently has 17 confirmed cases.

Confrimed cases in Bruce County -  Kincardine (4); Saugeen Shores (4); South Bruce Peninsula (3); Huron Kinloss (3); Arran Elderslie (2); Brockton (1).
