Eat it up: Blue Mountains seeking bids for food trucks

Those interested in setting up a food-truck business are invited to submit bids to the town for one or more of three locations

This summer, food trucks will be coming to certain recreational areas in the Town of The Blue Mountains.

The town announced this week it is seeking bids from interested parties to provide and operate food truck services at the following locations:

  • Tomahawk Recreation Complex – 417230 10th Line, Thornbury
  • Northwinds Beach – 209605 Highway 26, Blue Mountains
  • Little River Beach - 4 Harbour Street, Thornbury

Those interested in setting up a food truck business are invited to submit bids to the town for one or more of the three locations. Each location has the following minimum bid or rental rate for each season of operation:

  • Tomahawk Recreation Complex – Minimum bid of $5,000 per season
  • Northwinds Beach – Minimum bid of $5,000 per season
  • Little River Beach – Minimum bid of $5,000 per season (equivalent annual BIA fees apply. 2021 fees = $831.30 with 2022 fees to be established)

The deadline for questions about the program is May 31 and the submission deadline for bids is June 9.
