Wasaga woman among those charged with fraud in traffic stop

She also faces a drug-related charge

South Simcoe Police Service officers have laid fraud and drug charges following a traffic stop in Bradford.

On Thursday, Feb. 6, 2020, around 2:30 p.m., a South Simcoe Police Service officer initiated a traffic stop on Holland Street West as a result of seeing an SUV travelling in an erratic manner.

The officer quickly determined illegal narcotics were in the vehicle and summoned K9 to assist in a search. A quantity of narcotics and drug paraphernalia along with numerous fraudulent bank cards were located and seized. 

As a result of the investigation, 31-year-old Godwin Bonney of Toronto, 41-year-old Tara Kamrath of Kitchener and 54-year-old Tracey Galka of Wasaga Beach were charged with fraud-related offences. 

Galka also faces a drug-related charge.

The three accused were released with future court dates. 

The investigation is ongoing.
