Teen jumps from second-floor balcony, faces long list of drug charges

OPP officers went to a Stayner home for a disturbance call last weekend; Police seized fentanyl, cocaine and crystal meth, as well as five cellphones

CLEARVIEW TWP. – On Oct. 24, at 2:30 p.m., the Huronia West OPP attended a Stayner residence after reports of a disturbance/fight. Upon entering the residence, Huronia West Officers received information through the Provincial Communication Centre (P.C.C.) that one female had just exited the residence through the balcony and jumped from the second floor to the ground. That female was shortly taken into custody by police along with a second female that was also located on the balcony. 

Through investigation, officers seized multiple substances, including fentanyl, cocaine, and crystal meth, as well as a flip knife and five cellphones.

An 18 year old female from North York has been charged with;  

  • Adult Obstruct Peace Officer CC 129(a)  
  • Adult Unlawfully in Dwelling House CC 349(1) 
  • Adult Poss of a Scheduled I substance of the purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine CDSA 5(2) 
  • Adult Poss of a Scheduled I substance of the purpose of Trafficking - Methamphetamine CDSA 5(2)  
  • Adult Poss of a Scheduled I substance of the purpose of Trafficking - Opioid CDSA 5(2)  
  • Adult Poss of a Schedule IV substance for the Purpose of Trafficking  CDSA 5(2) 
  • Adult Failure to comply with release order - other than to attend court x4 CC 145(5)(a) •
  • Adult Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon CC 91(2)

The accused was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie.   

A 16 year old female from North York who cannot be identified under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with;  

  • YPC Obstruct Peace Officer CC 129(a)  
  • YPC Unlawfully in Dwelling House CC 349(1)

The accused is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood on Dec. 3, 2020
