Sunset Point playground covered in racist, homophobic graffiti last night

Several of the concrete play structures were tagged with red swastikas, calls for violence, racist language, and profanity

A children's playground was covered in racist, homophobic, profane and violent phrases painted on the concrete structures in red graffiti paint.

The graffiti was on several of the concrete and metal play structures at the Sunset Point playground this morning.

The phrases sprayed on with red paint called for violence, used racist and homophobic terms, and contained profanity. There were also swastikas painted with the phrases in some cases.

Town staff confirmed police are on-site taking photos and staff will be painting the structures today to cover the graffiti.

More to come.
