Routine patrol leads to OPP arrest

MIDLAND - On Aug. 22, 2018 an officer from the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) while on routine patrol in the Town of Midland observed a male wanted in connection to a theft from a Midland department store on Aug. 17, 2018. The male was identified as Johnathon Fournier, 31 years, of Midland and charged with the following property crimes related offences.
  • 2 counts of Theft Under $5000- SHOPLIFTING contrary to section 334 (b) of the Criminal Code of Canada
  • 2 counts of Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 - in Canada contrary to section 354 (1) (a) of the Criminal Code of Canada
  • 4 counts of Fail to Comply with Probation Order contrary to section 733.1 (1)

He was held to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice bail court in Barrie and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a future date in Midland.
