Officers from the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit seized a large quantity of unauthorized prescription drugs, while executing a search warrant on Dec. 8 at a Wasaga Beach residence.
As a result of the investigation, the following was seized:
- Codeine
- Oxycodone
- Alprazolam
- Nabilone
- Cash - $33,260 in Canadian currency
- Ten cellular phones
- An airsoft rifle, airsoft handgun and two BB guns
In addition to the seizure, both residents of the house, a 55 year old and a 19 year old were both charged with the following:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking
- Possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of Trafficking
- Possession of a Schedule IV substance for the purpose of Trafficking
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
Both accused parties are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood in January 2022, to answer to the charges.
