Police seek witnesses after cyclist clipped in hit-and-run

Police say a cyclist was hit by a truck's side mirror on Fairgrounds Road, the pick-up trick didn't stay at the scene

Area police are appealing for witnesses and possible video or dash cam footage after a cyclist was clipped by a side mirror on a pick-up truck on Fairgrounds Road at the end of October. 

Huronia West OPP say that on Friday, Oct. 27 at 3:30 p.m. police were called to Fairgrounds Road and Nottawasaga 15/16 Sideroad in Clearview Township for a cyclist who was struck by a red or burgundy pick-up truck that did not remain at the scene. 

Police say the cyclist was not injured in the collision. The cyclist was travelling southbound at the time, and the passenger side mirror on the pickup truck was knocked off the vehicle. 

The investigation ongoing.

"Anyone who may have witnessed and/or has video/dash camera footage of the collision is asked to contact the Huronia West OPP at 705-429-3575 or 1-888-310-1122," states a news release from OPP.
