Local OPP have confirmed Barry Wilson, 71, of Collingwood died in a house fire yesterday.
OPP and Collingwood Fire Department were called to a home on Moberly Street for a fire before 7 a.m. on Aug. 2.
When firefighters arrived there was a lot of smoke, but no flames coming from the apartment above a garage. Firefighters found Wilson's body inside the home.
Two other people were taken to hospital, but police did not report the current status of the hospitalized people.
The investigation is continuing with assistance from the Ontario Fire Marshal.
