CLEARVIEW TWP — Members of the Huronia West OPP (Ontario Provincial Police) were caused to enter into two impaired driving investigations, after these motorists failed to properly negotiate the roads in slippery conditions.
On Jan. 8, 2022 at 9:01 p.m., police were called to a Superior Street address in Stayner, in response to a vehicle that had reportedly collided with a hydro pole. On arrival, police observed several people attempting to remove the vehicle from the ditch, and immediately entered into an impaired driving investigation. The driver was arrested at the scene.
As a result, Patrick Tutton, 20 years old, of Stayner, has been charged with:
- Take motor vehicle without consent
- Operation while impaired - Alcohol or Drugs
- Operation while impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration 80 Plus
Also on Jan. 8, 2022 at 11:39 p.m., while on patrol on County Road 10 in Clearview Township, police observed a vehicle lose control and spin out. As the vehicle attempted to drive away, police stopped the vehicle. This driver was also arrested as a result of an impaired driving investigation.
As a result, Charly Tosca Dominguez, 29 years old, of London, has been charged with:
- Operation While Impaired - Alcohol & Drugs
- Operation While Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration 80 Plus
- Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
Both are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood on Feb. 8, 2022.
Ontario citizens are reminded to do their part by never driving after consuming alcohol or drugs and never letting anyone else drive if you know or suspect that they have consumed either.
