On May 27, 2021 members of the Huronia West OPP were called to investigate the damage of several bird houses located at a community eco-park in Stayner.
During the early stages of the investigation police believe the bird houses may have been intentionally destroyed with fireworks. Some of the bird houses appeared to be inhabited at the time of the mischief. It's believed the damage occurred over the May long weekend.
