Police have identified the human remains found in Springwater Township in April.
Huronia West OPP responded April 19 to the report of remains having been found on a property off of Penetanguishene Road.
A post-mortem examination determined the remains were those of a 38-year-old man who was reported missing to the Barrie Police Service in July 2022. The man’s name has not been released.
The death is not suspicious and foul play is not suspected, police said, adding there is no threat to public safety.
