Police arrest two Clearview residents for drug-related charges

Members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police Community Street Crime Unit in partnership with Collingwood OPP Community Street Crime Unit have arrested and charged two people for drug-related charges after a warrant was executed at an address in Stayner.

On the morning of Aug. 31, 2021, with the assistance of the Central Region OPP Emergency Response Team, officers attended a John Street address where a search warrant was executed and the address entered.

Upon entering, officers located various pills, cocaine, and evidence of drug paraphernalia.

As a result of the investigation, a 53-year-old male from Clearview Township has been charged with the following:

  •         Possession of schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
  •         Possession of schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - opioid (Other than heroin).

A 30-year-old female from Clearview Township has been charged with the following:

        Possession of schedule I substance - cocaine

Both accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood, on Sept. 28, 2021.
