A date has been chosen for what could be the resolution of the murder trial for the man accused of killing a Collingwood woman last year.
During a pre-trial court appearance Thursday morning (Oct. 26), the Crown and lawyers for Orillia resident John Collins agreed to come before Justice Michelle Fuerst again on Dec. 14, in-person to a Barrie courtroom for a plea hearing.
Collins, was charged with first-degree murder in the death of Collingwood real estate agent Kinga 'Kay' Kriston. He was 57 years old when he was charged.
The 55-year-old woman was found dead in her Georgian Meadows home on Friday, June 10, 2022.
Collins was not in court on Thursday, as the matter was handled by his legal team and representatives from the Crown attorney's office.

None of the allegations have been proven in court.
