Pedestrian struck in Collingwood parking lot, drunk driving charge laid

Collingwood OPP have charged a Grey Highlands woman with drunk driving after an incident in a parking lot on First Street. 

According to police, a pedestrian was struck in the Boston Pizza parking lot, and the investigation of the incident led to impaired charges for a 22-year-old driver. 

The collision occurred around 9 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 17. 

The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, report the OPP. 

Police charged Coralyn Campbell of Grey Highlands with driving while impaired, driving with a blood alcohol concentration of 80 plus, and dangerous operation of a vehicle causing bodily harm. 

The accused will face the charges in court in Collingwood next month. Police suspended the driver's licence for 90 days and impounded the vehicle for seven days.
