OPP charge Wasaga resident with sexual assault

Details are scant, but police report the charges are connected to a New Year's Day incident

Members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), responded to call for a disturbance at a Wasaga Beach residence in the early morning hours of New Year's Day, Jan. 1, 2022.

As a result of the investigation, Jorge Jimenez, 44 years old, of Wasaga Beach has been charged with:

•    Sexual assault

The accused was released, and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood, on Feb. 15, 2022
