MEAFORD - On June 19, 2020 at 8:38 p.m. Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a neighbour dispute at Victoria Street in the Municipality of Meaford.
OPP officers attended and located a person who had sustained minor injuries to his abdomen as a result of being contacted by a grass trimmer.
As a result of this investigation, Grey Bruce OPP have charged Deanne Thompson, 31 years old from Meaford, ON with assault with a weapon, section 267(a) Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was released on an undertaking and is required to appear in Ontario Court of Justice on Aug. 27, 2020.
