Hikers find body on Meaford trail

Death not deemed to be suspicious: OPP

The death of an individual whose body was found Monday (Jan. 9) in Meaford has been deemed to be not suspicious.

Shortly before 10 a.m., emergency services responded to a part of the Bruce Trail, off of Concession 11, after hikers located a body.

Grey Bruce OPP, the Office of the Chief Coroner of Ontario, OPP Forensic Identification Services, the West Region Emergency Response Team and the OPP Canine Unit investigated, and it was determined the death was not suspicious.
