Guelph teen charged after stolen vehicle recovered in Collingwood

On April 7, 2020 at 2:45 a.m., [it is alleged that] a teenage male stole a vehicle from a residence located near the intersection of Stone Road East and Victoria Road South in the City of Guelph.

On April 8 at 3:45 a.m., the vehicle was located in the Town of Collingwood and subsequently returned to the owner.

At 3 p.m., the Ontario Provincial Police arrested the male in the Town Of Collingwood.

At 4:30 p.m., members of the Guelph Police Service took over custody of the male.

A 16-year-old Guelph male has been charged with:
    •    Theft of motor vehicle
    •    Fail to comply with judicial release order x3

He was held in custody pending a bail hearing on April 9.
