Fentanyl, cocaine, cash seized from Collingwood residence

Man charged as part of investigation that began in November

Police seized drugs and cash while executing a search warrant early Wednesday morning at a Collingwood residence.

Fentanyl, cocaine and other controlled substances with a street value of more than $10,000 were seized, as well as more than $10,000 in cash, according to a news release from Collingwood and The Blue Mountains OPP.

Wednesday’s raid was part of an investigation into cocaine and fentanyl trafficking in Collingwood that began in November. 

“The investigation revealed the accused was at large on bail for two previous drug trafficking investigations and, when arrested, he was found to be in violation of his bail conditions,” the news release stated. 

Sheldon Wynter, 38, of Etobicoke, has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine), possession for the purpose of trafficking (fentanyl), possession of proceeds of crime, and failing to comply with a release order. He is being held in custody while awaiting a bail hearing.
