Drug trafficking, weapons charges laid against two teens in Wasaga Beach

WASAGA BEACH - Members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged two persons for drug and weapon offences after responding to a Liquor Licence Act (LLA) complaint on Wasaga Beach.

On Sunday June 13, 2021, at approximately 10:40 p.m., officers responded to a parking lot near Beach Area 1 on Beach Drive. With the assistance of a member of the public, officers located two intoxicated persons nearby.

Both individuals were arrested for public intoxication and a search under the LLA resulted in the seizure of:

  • Alcohol
  • Cannabis
  • Various pills
  • Methamphetamine
  • $8,185 Canadian currency
  • Digital scale
  • Push dagger
  • Brass knuckles
  • Pepper spray

As a result of the investigation, Dylan Bradley, 19 years old from Wasaga Beach, has been charged with:

  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Carrying concealed weapon
  • Unauthorized possession of prohibited weapon or restricted weapon
  • Disobeying order of court
  • Possession of proceed of property obtained by crime over $5,000
  • Possession of a schedule IV substance for the purpose of trafficking

Brennan Moreau, 19 years old from Wasaga Beach, has been charged with:

  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Carrying concealed weapon
  • Unauthorized possession of prohibited weapon or restricted weapon
  • Failure to comply with undertaking
  • Fail to comply with sentence
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • Trafficking in schedule IV substance - other drugs
  • Possession of a schedule IV substance for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of a schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking

The accused are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood on Aug. 10, 2021.
