One person has died in a collision north of Barrie in Springwater Township.
According to the Central Region OPP Twitter account, officers were called to the scene of a collision between a sports utility vehicle and a transport truck on Monday.
The collision took place shortly after 11 a.m., on County Road 27 south of Flos Road 7.
The 59-year-old driver of the Dodge Journey was pronounced dead at the scene. He has been identified as Jeffrey Lescard.
The driver of the transport truck was reportedly uninjured, but was taken to hospital as a precaution.
As of 4 p.m., the road remained closed for the investigation.
