Cyclist airlifted to Toronto hospital after being struck by car

66-year-old man suffers serious life-threatening injuries

Officers from the Huronia West OPP detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with the Clearview Fire Department and Simcoe County Paramedics attended to a traffic collision on Sept. 4, 2020, involving a cyclist and motor vehicle.

At approximately 6:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to County Road 91, Clearview Township, Simcoe County, between Fairgrounds Road and Industrial Road for a collision involving a cyclist and motor vehicle.

A 66-year-old male cyclist was transported to Collingwood General and Marine Hospital and later airlifted to a Toronto area hospital with serious life-threatening injuries.

OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators were called in to document the scene. Investigation still ongoing at this time.
