Collingwood's Ontario Provincial Police locked up five south-end schools this morning as a safety precaution while responding to an incident in the area.

The hold-and-secure order has since been lifted and police say the incident is resolved while the investigation continues.

Const. Trevor McKean said police were called to an incident off-school property and issued a hold-and-secure order for Collingwood Collegiate Institute, Our Lady of the Bay Catholic High School, St. Mary's Catholic School, Elementary School Catholic Notre-Dame-De-La-Huronie, and Admiral Elementary school.

McKean said the order lasted approximately ten minutes.

The incident has now been resolved, and McKean confirmed there's no risk to the public.

More to come.
