An arrest has been made after a man was caught on surveillance video peering through windows at a Collingwood residence July 12.

Collingwood and The Blue Mountains OPP announced Friday a man had been arrested in connection to the incident that took place at a home on Dawson Drive.

The accused, 59-year-old Alan Wilson of Collingwood, has been charged with voyeurism, criminal harassment (watch and beset), and trespassing, say police. He is set to appear in court in Collingwood on Aug. 22.

Police remind residents to lock their windows and doors, and report suspicious activity.

“As an extra measure of security, you can also install motion sensor lights and cameras and possibly leave exterior lights on,” police said in a news release. “With LED technology, and from personal experience, lights now consume very little power but go a long way in preventing crime.”
