A Grey Highlands resident is facing drug and weapon charges after police responded to a break-in Tuesday.
Grey Bruce OPP responded to the report of a break and enter on Grey Road 2 in Grey Highlands, where they located and arrested the suspect.
During a search, police found “offence-related property, a black BB gun, ammunition, and a quantity of suspected controlled substances with a combined street value of approximately $5,980,” Grey Bruce OPP stated in a news release.
Bailey Baker, 25, was charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of break-in instruments, possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking (two counts), careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition, possession of a prohibited device or ammunition, being an occupant of a motor vehicle knowing there was a prohibited device or ammunition, and possession of a Schedule 1 substance.
The accused was released and is set to appear in court in Owen Sound at a later date.
