Barrie police are seeking the assistance of the public in identifying a male who wore a Batman mask during an early morning robbery on Monday at a Cundles Road West convenience store. Police responded to the 5:00 a.m. call on Dec. 18 after the suspect fled the store on foot after obtaining a small quantity of change from the store’s cash register.

Police responded to the 5 a.m. call on Dec. 18 when the suspect fled the store on foot after stealing change from the store’s cash register.

Reports indicate that the man was armed with an axe as he ran westbound from the store.

Police brought in dogs to help with the search, but lost the lone suspect in the parking lot of the Bayfield Mall. 

Police are looking for a man described as white, 5’8” tall, and wearing a dark winter jacket and dark pants, but no cape.
