Police charged an 18-year-old driver in Meaford with impaired driving charges after a vehicle collided with a hydro pole.
Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) report they were called for the collision with a hydro pole on Dec. 9 at 12:49 a.m. in Meaford.
"During the course of the investigation, a Grey Bruce OPP officer detected signs of impairment from the driver. The driver was placed under arrest and transported to a local OPP station for further testing," stated a police release.
OPP charged an 18-year-old driver from Meaford with driving while impaired and a blood alcohol content over the legal limit of 80 mg/
The accused driver is scheduled to face the charges in court in Owen Sound later.
