Year-to-date development charges collected this year are three times higher than 2017

June follows May as the second-best month of the year for building activity.

Building activity stats for Collingwood are up over last year following a strong June.

May was the top month this year with five large projects on the books, but June is next in line for fees collected and total construction value.

In June 2018, the total construction value for permits issued was $3,339,440, which is only slightly lower than in June 2017, when the total was $3,945,441.

Fees collected last month totalled $27,440, which is less than last year in June when the town collected $42,304 in fees. There were 85 permits issued last month and seven new units created. Last year there were 10 new units created in June and 73 permits issued.

Development charges collected in June 2018, totalled $152,399, bringing the year-to-date total to $2.9 million. Last year at this time, the town had collected $918,151 in development charges for the year.
