Town Hall and all Municipal Administrative Offices

Public Skating
Public holiday skating runs at Central Park Arena on Jan. 2, 3, 5 and 6 from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. The outdoor rink at Central Park is not open yet.
Pre-registration is required for indoor public skating. It can be done online here.

County Administration Centre (Midhurst)
The Administration Centre will be closed to the public on Jan. 2
Simcoe County Museum
The museum is closed on Jan. 1. From Dec. 27 to 31, the museum will be open for its regularly scheduled hours (10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.)
Simcoe County Archives
The Archives are closed on Jan. 2.
Landfills, curbside waste collection and Christmas tree collection
There is no change to the collection schedule this year, as the statutory holidays fall on a weekend. Please place your carts roadside on your regular collection day by 7 a.m.
Waste drop-off facilities are closed on Jan. 1, and are open on Jan. 2.
Christmas tree collection occurs throughout January. Click here for more information or use the Simcoe County Collects app (or your calendar) to determine your collection week
Christmas trees must be placed at curbside Monday at 7 a.m. of your collection week. Collection of trees does not necessarily coincide with your garbage collection day.
LINX Transit
LINX Transit services are not in operation on Jan. 1 (with the exception of Route 4). Route 4 only will be operating a Sunday schedule on Jan. 1.
Normal service will resume on all routes on Jan. 2, 2023
Ontario Works and Children Services
All Ontario Works offices and children services are closed on Jan. 2.
