Paul Young brought a cheque for $4,785 to the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital Foundation. The money was raised at this year's virtual Musician's Christmas.

The annual Musician's Christmas event saw an increase in funds raised for charity even without charging for admission.

The event was streamed virtually this year, and encouraged viewers to make a donation toward the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital Foundation.

This week, Musician's Christmas creator Paul Young brought a cheque for $4,785 to the hospital, which is almost a 25 per cent increase over the $4,000 raised at last year's in-person event at Collingwood legion.

The virtual event premiered on Dec. 19 at 7 p.m. and is now posted to YouTube.
