Some county services affected during Thanksgiving weekend

LINX Transit, waste facilities among reduced services Monday

The County of Simcoe reminds residents of the following schedule changes during Thanksgiving long weekend.

Waste facilities and curbside waste collection

  • There will be no changes to your regular curbside waste collection schedule. Ensure you have your materials curbside by 7 a.m. on your regular collection day.
  • Leaf and yard waste collection also continues on its biweekly schedule.
  • All county waste facilities are closed on Monday, Oct. 9, 2023 (with the exception of Matchedash).

LINX Transit

  • LINX Transit services are not in operation on Monday, Oct. 9, 2023, with the exception of Route 4, which will operate on a Sunday service schedule.
  • The regular schedules will resume on Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2023.
  • Please visit nextlinx.simcoe.ca to check our schedules.

County administration centre (Midhurst)

  • The administration centre, including the contact centre, will be closed to the public on Monday, Oct. 9, 2023.

 Ontario Works and children services offices

  • All Ontario Works and children services offices are closed on Monday, Oct. 9, 2023.

Simcoe County Museum

  • The museum is open between 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 9, 2023.

Simcoe County Archives

  • The archives will be closed on Monday, Oct. 9, 2023.
