Environmental Services and Public Works are responding to a suspected sanitary force main failure at Huron Street and Heritage Drive.
Spills Action Centre and the Medical Officer of Health have been notified.
Harbour area user groups will be notified and signs posted as soon as possible to warn swimmers of the potential risk.
Updates on the issue will be posted once available.
