Kinettes use legacy cash to support Legion poppy fund

The poppy campaign was expecting a lean year, but has been receiving surprise donations over the last week

The Kinette Club of Collingwood is using some of its legacy funds to support the Collingwood Legion's poppy campaign. 

The club donated $500 to the local poppy fund on Nov. 10. 

The Kinettes announced they were folding their Collingwood chapter earlier this year, but have still been making donations with the money they had saved for community support. 

"We were proud to support the Collingwood Legion Poppy Fund," stated the club in an email.
