Collingwood Skating Club presents: Out of this World

The Collingwood Skating Club presents an ice show featuring performances by Canadian junior silver medalists Olivia McIsaac and Elliott Graham as well as the members of the Collingwood Skating Club. The show runs from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Eddie Bush Memorial Arena. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids.  

Rainbow Ski Weekend

Blue Mountain Village is celebrating LGBTQ families with a Rainbow Ski Weekend. It all starts with the official flag raising in the Blue Mountain Village Events Plaza Friday, Mar. 23 at 2 p.m. Then things kick into gear Saturday with great skiing and snowboarding all day plus exciting family events on and off the mountain.

Art show for Georgian Triangle Humane Society

Jane Wynne Studio is hosting a charity art sale March 24 and 25 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Wynne will offer a large selection of watercolour and acrylic original paintings at a range of prices, with 50 per cent of sales donated to the Georgian Triangle Humane Society. The sale will take place at her home studio at 225 Oak Street.

Spring Shopping Extravaganza and pancake breakfast

Organized by Debbie Yaniw, a community outreach coordinator, this shopping day features a number of local vendors, a charity pancake breakfast and kids activities. Vendors will be set up at the Nottawa Community Hall on March 24 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Proceeds from the pancake breakfast will be used to buy pancake mix and syrup to donate to local food banks. There will be goodie bags including treats, samples and discounts for the first 50 shoppers through the door. The event is kid-friendly. Happy Hearts Home Daycare and Smiles for Miles home daycare will be hosting crafts and fun for the kids at this event. Pancake breakfast will run from 10 to noon. The Kid’s Zone is open from noon to 3 p.m. and the Easter Bunny will be visiting from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Click here for more.
