Great Northern Exhibition
The annual fall fair put on by the Collingwood Agricultural Society is underway on Fairgrounds Road in Clearview Township, an annual tradition since 1855. The fair runs Friday through Sunday (Sept. 22-24) with family-friendly activities and exhibits. Find more here.
Confessions of a Fairy's Daughter
A memoir play written and starring Alison Wearing on stage at the Simcoe Street Theatre at 7:30 on Sept. 22 and 23. Presented by Theatre Collingwood. Ticket information here.
Art Powered Pop-up Art and Craft Show
Part of Canada's Culture Days events, the show takes place at Nottawa Art Studio on 2 Townley Street on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. More online here.
Change of Seasons Gathering
An Indigenous-led gathering open to all taking place Sept. 24 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Awen Gathering Circle at Harbourview Park. The event will mark the transition to fall with food, activities, traditional dance, Indigenous teaching, and a sacred fire. More information online here.
Escarpment Corridor Alliance film screening and panel discussion
The Escarpment Corridor Alliance welcomes special guest Edward Burtynsky as keynote speaker during the summit and panel discussion on Sept. 23 at 7 p.m. The theme of the night will be the key issues and threats impacting the escarpment and the world, with topics such as land conservation, biodiversity, and creating a sustainable conservation economy.
