Here are five events to attend this weekend in and around Collingwood.

Still Summer at Side Launch Brewery

Side Launch Brewery will be hosting a Still Summer at Side Launch Brewery event on Sept. 2. The event will feature music by Brendan Canning of Broken Social Scene, Filipino comfort food by Nicky’s Donuts, tacos by Mamacita Tacoria, pop-up shops for Georgian Bay Surf Club and Bayonet Barber Shop and a silent auction in support of My Friend’s House.

Summer Sundown at Blue Mountain Village

Blue Mountain Village will be hosting a four-day music series from Sept. 1 to 4 called Summer Sundown. The concerts and entertainment outdoors this weekend will be free.

Memories of Summer in Wasaga Beach

April Wine will be performing at Beach Area 1 in Wasaga Beach on Sept. 3. Music will be performed throughout the day, along with family entertainment and games for all ages. A fireworks show will cap off the evening.

Meaford International Film Festival

The Meaford International Film Festival (MIFF) is held Aug. 31 to Sept. 3 at the Meaford Hall & Cultural Centre. The 17th annual festival will feature award-winning films while promoting local restaurants and caterers.

En Plein Air exhibit launch

The Gallery at L.E. Shore in Thornbury will be hosting an open reception on Sept. 2 from 2 to 4 p.m. for a new exhibit called En Plein Air, which runs from Sept. 2 to 27. Students of The Blue Mountain School of Landscape Painting are the artists behind the exhibit.
