The Grey Bruce Health Unit announced today there is a second COVID-19 case linked to Beaver Valley Community School.

The first case was reported April 6, and the health unit issued a news release today to say there is now a second case and a 'suspected' outbreak.

"A suspect outbreak identifies interim evidence of transmission from person-to-person," states the news release.

Further testing is underway.

No bus routes are involved with the suspected outbreak.

All those with COVID-19 have been contacted directly by the case and contact management team at the Grey Bruce Health Unit.

Public health officials worked with the Bluewater District School Board to identify contacts of cases, contact them, and advise exclusion from school where necessary.
