Golf tournament raises over $24K for no-cost youth mentoring

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Grey Bruce and Western Simcoe is sending out gratitude for the support from the community and the funds to help keep local programs running

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Grey Bruce and Western Simcoe is sending out a big "thank you" to everyone involved in making the seventh-annual Golf Fore Kids' Sake a success. 

The tournament, which took place Sept. 23 at Sauble Golf and Country Club raised $24,349.49 to help support no-cost youth mentoring programs in the region. 

In a news release sent by Big Brothers Big Sisters, the organization sent its gratitude to the event sponsors, volunteers, and golfers for their support. 

“We thank each and every member who made this year's event a success, from the staff who coordinated the fundraiser, to the local businesses, players, volunteers and youth that showed up," said Beth Aubrey, executive director of Big Brothers Big Sisters Grey Bruce and West Simcoe, in the news release. "You are at the heart of what we do.”
