BLUE MOUNTAIN VILLAGE
**************************

How many guitarists can you fit on the hiking trails at Blue Mountain? Canada’s only Guitar Trail festival will show you on Saturday, Sept. 9.  The festival is a walking trail and hiking trail with a musical twist. Guests follow the trail map as they journey through the Village and up the hiking trail in search of unique musical experiences. In total, 20 acts dot the trail. And at the end? A free live concert featuring Canada’s rock legends, Trooper.

Join us for “Good Time Not a Long Time”

At 6 p.m., Canadian rock legend Trooper hits the stage. With millions of records, a couple of dozen hits, a Juno Award for band of the year, and ongoing sold-out shows across Canada, Universal Music acknowledges them as "one of Canada's top-five selling bands of all time" and the Vancouver Sun has called them "Canadian rock heroes of the first order ... the best-performing band in Canada".

"We're Here for a Good Time (Not a Long Time)", "Raise a Little Hell", "The Boys in the Bright White Sportscar", "Two For the Show", "Pretty Lady" "Good Ol' General Hand Grenade", "Round, Round We Go", "Santa Maria", "Janine" – just a few of the Trooper hits that, according to writer Ryan Sparks, "have woven their way into the fabric of this country like no other bands have been able to do. Tune into any radio station from Vancouver to St John's and you're bound to encounter one of their dozens of hit radio anthems that are still featured in heavy rotation to this day."

It's no exaggeration to say that Trooper has become a Canadian legend. They continue to perform their huge collection of hits with the vitality and sense of humour that has served them well on their steady march through the hills and valleys of Canadian rock and roll.

In addition to the Trooper concert, visit several free stages from noon to 6 p..m throughout the Village and 1 p.m.- 4 p.m. on the mountain trail. Featuring Jeremiah Hill, Miranda Journey, David Stone, Amber May, James Gray, Rivers Washburn, The Makwa Project, Genevieve Cyr, Sydney Riley, Shane Cloutier Band, Jess Bowman, Vanessa Lio, Aaron Garner, Rob Elder Trio, Kat Steeves, Jamie Ciotka, Mitch Beube, Matthew & Richard Jazz Duo and Jenny Howes Duo.

“It’s a great fall adventure,” says Patti Kendall, director of marketing and events for Blue Mountain Village. “The festival features the best of our mountain culture with unique musical experiences, beautiful vistas, hiking, 1,000 patio seats, and a headlining concert with an iconic Canadian band.”
