Blues take the win, local figure skaters perform between periods for full afternoon of family-friendly activities

The Collingwood Junior 'A' Blues celebrated Family Day with a win and a celebratory family skate after their game, featuring a special guest and Canadian figure skating legend.

Elvis Stojko attended the Feb. 20 game and joined the Blues and their fans on the ice afterwards for a family skate.

Collingwood Skating Club also participated in game day with performances between the second and third period. The Collingwood Optimist Club and Collingwood Blues presented a donation to the local skating club of $2,000 from money raised through the 50/50 raffle at Blues games.

The home team won 3-1 against the Caledon Admirals. There are four more Collingwood Blues home games (Feb. 24, and 25 and March 3 and 4) until the playoffs.
