Elementary school encourages wellness with community event

Wellness fair features several professionals in various disciplines of family, individual and community health

Worsley Elementary School in Wasaga Beach is hosting a wellness evening, featuring several community wellness providers from the region.

There will be free interactive sessions with the various providers during the event, which takes place Tuesday, April 24 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Some of the professionals present will include a financial planner, a registered massage therapist, a naturopath, a chiropractor, Big Brothers Big Sisters, a dentist, New Path, a specialist disaster preparedness, a specialist in trauma therapy for children, youth and adults, a dietician, a health nurse with skills in stress reduction, Lice Squad, and Smoothie Bike.

Worsley will also be represented by the Green Team, a student health project exhibit, WHAT and Ms. Cotton’s smoothie station.

Children are welcome at the event, and there will be a youth centre set up in the gym and a bracelet making activity in the learning centre.

Light refreshments will be served.
