William Anthony of Collingwood got way into the game with a $88,967.40 Pools win (Pools Card #27, List #2338).
William, a retiree, says he has been playing the lottery regularly for 25 years.
“I won $3,600 with Pools about five years ago but this is my first big win,” he shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings.
“I knew I won when the Monday night game ended. The next day, I went to the store to check my ticket and I was so happy to see I won $88,000,” William smiled. “I was cheering so hard when the game finished.”
William plans to treat himself to a new TV and pay some bills.
“I keep thinking, ‘Good, good, good.’ It’s crazy,” he laughed.
