If you have a dream of starting your own business, two events taking place on June 28 in Collingwood may help you take next steps toward your goals.

On June 28, the first-ever Monarch Business Summit will be taking place virtually, bringing together 11 business experts for a full-day workshop helping entrepreneurs navigate online marketing and sales.

Amanda Wilson-Ciocci, owner of The Monarch & Co. and Collingwood mother of three, will also be having a book launch party that evening to coincide with the summit.

The event is kicking off the launch of Wilson-Ciocci’s book, The Monarch: The Signature 8 Method to Launching Your Dream Business with Clarity, Confidence & Love.

“I’ve been working with businesses for more than 20 years. When I moved to Collingwood three years ago...I decided to start a company myself. I took all the skills I’d learned over 20 years working behind the scenes and created this business to empower other entrepreneurs,” she said.

“My main mission is to help double the amount of female entrepreneurs in Canada by 2025,” she added.

The Monarch & Co. was started by Wilson-Ciocci to help entrepreneurs build and launch businesses. Out of that model, Wilson-Ciocci also runs a signature program for women entrepreneurs called Monarch Business Academy (MBA).

Wilson-Ciocci said that while she doesn’t focus solely on female entrepreneurs through The Monarch and Co. overall, it is a subject that helps drive her.

“I think women making money is powerful. The MBA program is specifically to give women the opportunity and rise together,” she said. “I want women to be able to see the possibilities for themselves.”

Wilson-Ciocci will be holding a launch party for her new book on June 28 from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Collingwood Foundry, which will include a local DJ, live streaming, a live reading, local giveaways and special guests, including her book publisher Sabrina Greer of YGT Media Company.

She was inspired to write the book to spread her business knowledge more widely.

“My program is a higher-ticket item, so it might not be as accessible. A book is a much more accessible option,” she said. “The road map is in the book. One of my core values is impact, so I wanted to reach as many people as I can.”

“I’ve read books that have changed my mindset and the way I structure my business for the better. My hope was that this book could do the same for someone else,” she said.
